Classical music and a banned dog
Right now I am in my second best phase of the day. Putting babies to sleep. It had worked fine in about 20-30 minutes, if the dog hadn't got the idea to try and get inside the bedroom, because he hates closed doors and follows me -eh, like a dog - everywhere. So Alice woke up from the noise and I just now got her to close her eyes again. Hoping she'll be able to sleep. I've tried all sorts of music to get the babies to fall asleep quickly and now finally, I have the right stuff in my playlist: classical music. All my favourites, like Bach, Händel, Mozart and Vivaldi - yeah, I know it is all easy listening music, but I really enjoy it. Plus I believe it is important the girls know some of the most important composers of the world and their famous tones. Maybe we can get one of the girls to play an instrument too. The other good thing with classical music is, that it doesn't matter if a tune sticks to your head for two days. It's worse with 'itsy bitsy spider' or 'Old MacDonald had a farm'.
Don't forget to look out of the window to see the super moon tonight! You might not live long enough to see it again!
I went to see Clara today. I had brought some candles and I sang some songs which the girls enjoy the most right now: 'En liten båt' and 'Var bor du lilla råtta'. I hope she enjoyed it. I did!
I went to IKEA yesterday. Needed some practical things for the girls, but what a bad idea! After a week inside you suddenly find yourself in heavy traffic, strange detours, loads of people, snow and ice and of course I just got the worst migraine incl. back pain ever. Good thing I found a pill in my huge shoulder bag. Now I know why it is only a good thing to not clean out the bag to often!
I was so happy to be back home again and I promised the girls never to leave them again.
