Like a rolling stone
As you know, I've contacted both authorities and insurance companies after I didn't get the documents I wanted from the hospital. I already got some papers from the insurance to fill in today and strangely enough: I got an email with a PDF. A PDF of the internal report. Funny how things get going once you decide to fight for your right. It was the head of the neonatal unit who wrote and he wants to meet us as well to talk about what has happened and the report. The report in my opinion is a copy of our journals in a more readable version and embedded are some facts on the bacteria. No word about how, when and why. Even if you shouldn't speculate in such a report, they should have listed the possible sources. Instead the list what has been the source in a previous case, some years ago: the mother. They don't even enclose the fact that I was tested and nothing was found, but they imply it most probably is my fault. I could go on and on about this report, but won't bore you with the details. I got quite angry and wrote back.
I don't know if my standards and values are set to high for Swedish means. I had had a different approach of the internal report in mind, when I first heard they would look into it. I don't believe this would have been considered done, in for instance Germany. But what do I know. I'm not exactly a pro in that field. I'm quite happy though to have started the process, as I am not super satisfied with the outcome of this whole matter.
